Continuing to set new standards of professionalism, 104 remodeling companies from across the United States were honored at the eighth annual Chrysalis Awards for Remodeling excellence on June 1st. The awards, sponsered by Professional Remodeler magazine, were presented at the Southern Building show in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Judged by the staff of Southern Living magazine, Sunset magazine and Homestyles.com, the winners were selected from over 600 entries covering all types of remodeling projects. The entries were judged on overall design, the creative use of space and materials, and the degree of which the project enhanced the original structure.
This year, Marinich Builders of Syracuse, New York took home the top award as Category Winner for Kitchen Remodel $40,000.00 - $75,000.00. This was the first year that they have entered the awards.
"The purpose of the awards is to identify remodeling companies who are the best at what they do." Says Ken Kanline, Director of the awards. "The kitchen categories attract a large
number of entries and winning in this hotly contested category on their first attempt certainly makes Marinich Builders one of the top companies in this field."
The Chrysalis Awards program, started in 1994, recognizes the nation's bestremodeling work in over thirty project categories.
